Meet Nancy
Nancy Hopps is an internationally recognized healing artist and performing artist. She’s the author of the award-winning Relax into Healing series and other spoken-word audio recordings. Sound healing is an important aspect of Nancy’s work. Her new book, All the Courage Love Takes, is now available!
Who Am I…Really?
…and why am I here, doing what I’m doing? I’d love to share a few thoughts on that. And, I’d love to reflect back to you a few thoughts about YOU, during this pivotal time here on earth. Wanna connect for a moment? Just press play!
Nancy’s known for her ability to create an immediate sense of calm, safety, and trust, whether with one person or with large groups. Her genuine warmth, empathy, and inner wisdom, combined with a playful spark, generate a delightful and contagious vibe.
She’s taught through the University of Oregon and was a founding staff member at Concordia Health Resources, a mind/body healing center providing adjunctive health care for physician-referred patients. She developed and recorded the relaxation segments for the “Living with Breast Cancer” program funded by the National Cancer Institute, the “Coping with Depression” and “mPower Wellness Workshop” online programs funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, and the National YMCA “Livestrong” program, designed to help cancer survivors thrive.
Nancy was instrumental in the development and on-site implementation of the stress-management elements of several grant projects, including an acclaimed program by the National Institute of Health/Oregon Research Institute, which studied the effects of lifestyle changes on postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes. She has presented for innumerable companies and organizations in the US and beyond.

I remember as a young child, maybe 5 or 6 years old, sitting in front of a full-length mirror in our vestibule, watching other beings, other “characters” emerge from my own reflected image. (I even remember some of their names!)
Though more spiritual than theatrical in nature, that experience exemplifies my longstanding fascination with who we really are. It was a precursor for my pursuing a philosophy major in college, and ultimately becoming a mind-body-spirit Healing Artist, as well as a Performing Artist and Playwright.
My compelling interest in the essential nature of our being prompted me to explore how we all come to create the character descriptions we then must play out on the grander stage of Life. (And how we can change those descriptions if they’re not serving us!)
That same fascination also prompted me to explore how to create characters on page and stage, as playwright and actor.
