I’ve attended a number of seminars, and I’d say yours is one of the best, as far as coming away with really useful tools…I still use your CD frequently as a way to relax mentally as well as physically – to stop the barrage of thoughts that always crowd in when I stop long enough to try and relax. I’ve read so many books about meditation, yoga, etc., and I’ve been in India studying meditation from Indian yogis and Tibetan lamas. People come in with a lot of fear – fear of the unknown, fear of pain, just being afraid because they have cancer. Nancy does a fabulous job of preparing patients for what will happen here and of equipping them with relaxing images and coping skills. You have the MOST effective line of soothing tapes/CDs I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried a lot of ’em… The reason I wanted to order the Relaxation/Affirmation CD is because a friend of mine sent me the cassette tape quite a few years ago and it is almost worn out!! I’ve attended a number of seminars, and I’d say yours is one of the best, as far as coming away with really useful tools…I still use your CD frequently as a way to relax mentally as well as physically – to stop the barrage of thoughts that always crowd in when I stop long enough to try and relax. Yesterday I was pretty sick and listened to the new [Pain] CD 3 times. It is just perfect. You have such an amazing gift… your voice is so comforting and soothing and well-timed. I’ve read so many books about meditation, yoga, etc., and I’ve been in India studying meditation from Indian yogis and Tibetan lamas. People come in with a lot of fear – fear of the unknown, fear of pain, just being afraid because they have cancer. Nancy does a fabulous job of preparing patients for what will happen here and of equipping them with relaxing images and coping skills. Tools like this absolutely make a difference in helping patients get the most from treatment.
Nancy’s yoga+ classes are the best thing I’ve done for my forty-year-old body. I am using Nancy’s Pain CD with clients in my work at St. Charles Outpatient Behavioral Health, and their Home Health Agency. The relaxation CDs I use regularly also – they’re all great – very high quality, research-based material. I have used some of Nancy’s excellent relaxation tapes with both adults and teens with superb results. Her gentle, pleasing voice aids in transporting the listener through a rainbow of guided images. I highly recommend her tapes to anyone who is on the path less traveled.
