I have used some of Nancy’s excellent relaxation tapes with both adults and teens with superb results. Her gentle, pleasing voice aids in transporting the listener through a rainbow of guided images. I highly recommend her tapes to anyone who is on the path less traveled.
I gave your [Relaxation/Affirmation] tape to a friend of mine, and she used it with her very active 2-year-old son. He loved it, and she says every night now he asks, “Is it time for the tape?
I knew I was capable of ‘going inside’ of me (I have at times), but I never really knew how. You gave me the “how-to”…it reinforced the Self that we all have and somehow forget about through our daily lives. Thank-you, Nancy.
Thanks so much for the CD on surgery and mending. It was wonderful. I was really apprehensive about the surgery to the point where I was focusing mostly on all the things that could go wrong. Your guided meditations and the lovely harp music really allowed me to redirect all those negative thoughts. Don’t get me wrong – I didn’t exactly leap onto the surgery table. But on the other hand, I did show up at the hospital on my assigned date with a calm mind and a relaxed body, both of which I’m sure… Read more
Your Healing Affirmations & Harp CD creates such a feeling of peace. Thank-you, Nancy, for sharing your healing gifts with us.
I invited Nancy to come to the Institute of Holistic Nutrition to speak about the healing power of sound, and demonstrate it through the use of her alchemical crystal healing bowls. Not only did she captivate everyone in the school, but those who attended her talk about the bowls, then stayed for her interactive concert, not only understood, but got to experience first-hand the profound effect these bowls had. People were so affected that some even booked impromptu private sessions immediatel… Read more
Although, as a health educator, I’ve been familiar with relaxation techniques, you added some refinements to my skills – particularly in the way you incorporate imagery. You impress me as having mastery of the material.
I used your Relaxation for Expectant Mothers with great success. After my daughters were born, I also played the second track for new parents many times… Thanks….
[In the touring production of An Oregon Idyl] Nancy Hopps as Margaret is really the driving force of this show. Her presence always stirs up interest. She is both learned and lusty, an entertaining combination.
Nancy Hopps is a wise, eloquent, and engaging speaker and teacher. The participants(post-menopausal women w/ Type 2 diabetes) in our MLP 2-yr grant research project, have responded wonderfully to Nancy’s yoga and stretching routines, her guided imagery and relaxation techniques, and her warm, caring approach. I strongly recommend her to anyone who wants to focus on stress-management, meditation, healing, and personal transformation. I am continually reminded, as I experience Nancy’s work, that… Read more
I am so grateful to have your beautiful, inspiring CD [Healing Affirmations & Harp] to listen to every single night at bedtime!
People come in with a lot of fear – fear of the unknown, fear of pain, just being afraid because they have cancer. Nancy does a fabulous job of preparing patients for what will happen here and of equipping them with relaxing images and coping skills. Tools like this absolutely make a difference in helping patients get the most from treatment.
Your personal presentation is terrific – warm, confident and full of grace. You are wonderfully accepting and affirming of everyone. Being around you was the best part of the class! Thanks for being you.
You have the voice of angels, with the guidance of God.
I need to order several more complete sets of your CDs. I can’t keep them in our lending library – they’re always checked out. Patients love them! Your voice, the music, your choice of words…its all wonderful. Your CDs create such a feeling of peace. How can something so gentle and soothing be so powerful?!! On Tamoxifen, I experience severe muscle cramps during the night, and recently also began listening to your Pain CD at bedtime…. [I’ve also benefited greatly from your Chemo CD]. I love my [PAIN: Softening the Sensations] CD. This was the first time in over 2 years that I had a few minutes of being pain free. Thank you! [in response to my email inquiry:] Yes you may quote me. What you do has become such a blessing in my life! I am learning to live a better life (with or without the pain) and I thank you for this! I am so happy that my pain counselor has your CDs available for purchase in her office. Blessings to you, you are a candle in my life.
Taking yoga with Nancy is challenging, sweat inducing and fun. She brings a wealth of experience, training, understanding and patience to her classes. Nancy is a wonderful teacher for the novice or the long time practitioner. Whether you are just getting off the couch or looking to get even stronger and more balanced in heart and soul, I recommend Nancy without reservation to be your guide. She is a rare treasure.
Nancy Hopps warm and gentle voice, along with her wonderful message, has made an astonishing difference in the stage 4 lymphoma I have been diagnosed with. This week I had the third of the six chemo treatments in my protocol. Before listening to the CD’s, I had persistent pain in my stomach and back. Amazingly, after the first chemo session, and listening to Nancy’s CD’s at least two times a day, my oncologist said I am doing “fantastically well.” Prior to listening to the CD’s, … Read more
Let it go. Since stress is a huge trigger for cravings, learning to deal with it could potentially save you hundreds of calories a day. This will take some practice. You can try deep breathing or visualizing a serene scene on your own, or you can speed things up by buying one of the many CDs that teach progressive muscle relaxation. A good one is Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques, by Nancy Hopps
I still use your [Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques] tape frequently as a way to relax mentally as well as physically – to stop the barrage of thoughts that always crowd in when I stop long enough to try and relax…

Hi Nancy -I am 49, a many-year yoga teacher, yoga nidra teacher and cancer/palliative care social worker – currently going through the experience of triple negative breast cancer treatment…While I have guided many patients and students through this journey, I felt deeply that I needed a guide or coach myself. I find much of what’s available in the world of visualization unhelpful or unfitting with my own spiritual view… I am so grateful to have found your deeply wise offering “Chemotherapy: A… Read more

I have tried every kind of drug and herbal remedy on the market for my chronic insomnia, in addition to hypnosis, acupuncture, and solo meditation. None of these tools were able to remedy the root of the problem–my inability to relax and let go. After a lifetime with no stress-reduction techniques, my body and mind had forgotten how to release tension, and the buildup was ruining the quality of my life, even though I exercised regularly. Nancy Hopps, nationally-known speaker on stress-reduction and emotional/spiritual well-being, has made one of the best recordings I’ve ever used for relaxation.
I was blessed with meeting Nancy in Kona on The Big Island in Hawaii in April of 2010 at a Cancer Retreat at Kokolulu Cancer Retreat Center, where she gifted us with her healing bowls and voice. In August, after flying to Portland to get a second opinion about my cancer situation, I visited her at her Healing Sanctuary. This beautiful place is only 15 minutes from downtown Eugene, yet I felt like I was in a wilderness area surround by beautiful trees and bushes. After a warm greeting fro… Read more
I first started working with Nancy in 2003. I had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder several years previously, and I was having a hell of a time figuring out how to go forward. Nancy was amazingly helpful, supportive, and incredibly patient during this period of our association. When we terminated the therapeutic relationship at an appropriate point, we parted on loving terms. I called Nancy again in 2010, after a terrifying PTSD flashback of a violent suicide attempt two years previously. … Read more

I’m currently in an Outpatient Treatment Program for substance (in my case alcohol) abuse. On behalf of my mother and myself, we THANK YOU so much for the healing work you do. We listen to your cds daily and find them effective and comforting.
Your very professionally-done CDs have helped so many of our patients – specifically I’m thinking of one of our head and neck cancer patients – your Radiation CD really helped him get through a series of rigorous radiation treatments. He was claustrophobic and worked diligently with your CD’s every day to manage his anxieties on the treatment table. Thanks for all you do!
I downloaded the CANCER: Embracing the Healing Journey mp3 today. I see the oncologist tomorrow so will have a better idea of what I’m dealing with. I just know I need to be well prepared and I know your CDs are going to be a valuable and significant part of that preparation. Hopps is a pleasant addition to the company. She has an animated air, a fine voice and an engaging persona. In several of the songs [in ACE’s “Lies & Legends: The Musical Stories of Harry Chapin.”] she is paired with Russell; it is a winning combination. The chemistry between them is evident.

Meeting Nancy Hopps for the first time was like seeing an old friend and soul sister. Her peaceful joy shines with her warm, welcoming smile. Never having heard Alchemical Crystal Healing Bowls before, I was curious about this new experience. She blends her vocal sound with them and sometimes I would open my eyes to see if she was toning or was it the bowls? Expe… Read more

Thank you so much, Nancy. What a prompt & very helpful reply! Your [PAIN: Softening the Sensations] CD has helped me immensely — I’ve even had two afternoon naps which is not usually possible as I find it difficult to give myself permission to ‘turn off’ for awhile. I’m workin’ on it! Warmly,
Most of my clients prefer this [Relaxation/Affirmations Techniques] tape to others we’ve used. The combination of music and voice is very relaxing in itself. I also like the full or minimal tension option…..lots of effective, easily learnable techniques.
Want to thank you again for the Pain CD. I thank you every time I use it! Hugs,
Nancy is quite simply one of the most warm, joyous, and infectiously enthusiastic presenters to have come through our doors! She walks in her heart and shares her gifts, talent and knowledge as though she has but one moment left to bestow upon the universe as much love as possible.
We love your Relax into Healing CD (Finding the Peaceful Place Within) as well as Deep Healing Sleep — and use these for our 10-15 minute meditations. We lead a daily 10-15 relaxation class in our corporate fitness center. It’s tough to find good short meditations for this purpose. These CDs are among our favorites! Thanks.
I did a private crystal bowl sound healing session with Nancy and it was the most profound experience I’ve had in my life. Her gentle, flowing and intuitive approach helped me to relax and connect with the deepest parts of myself. I experienced spatial sound and felt the vibrational frequencies beyond our physical reality. Nancy is a multitalented healer and her capacity to embody fully sound healing is exceptional. Her feminine, loving, warmhearted personality is a gift to this world.
At our invitation, Nancy has led a number of workshops at our store. Nancy’s presentations have been resounding successes,. She has a terrific knack for putting people at ease and getting them involved in the easy, enjoyable exercises she leads. Nancy has great expertise, and expresses it in a user-friendly, down-to-earth style that feels welcoming to people from all walks of life. Her warmth and sense of humor add to the value of the information she imparts.
You have the MOST effective line of soothing tapes/CDs I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried a lot of ’em… The reason I wanted to order the Relaxation/Affirmation CD is because a friend of mine sent me the cassette tape quite a few years ago and it is almost worn out!! It is my favorite relaxation method of all. It always relaxes me into a restful sleep. Keep up the good work.
The healing hands, voice and other amazing offerings by Nancy Hopps are something I hope you get to experience in your lifetime. Whether it be through her Relax Into Healing CDs (in my case, the one for before, during and after Surgery), or at one of her crystal singing bowls events, or through massage and sound healing work at her beautiful Healing Sanctuary, you, like me, will be better for it. I have been privileged to practice EDGU with Nancy for many years. I was delighted when her EDGU DVD became available because it allowed me to continue the physical and spiritual part of the practice at home. I have given her DVD as a gift to several friends who have found it very valuable as well.
Hopps is charming in “Raw Canvas,” The story of Rosalyn, a talented painter, inspired by Walton’s own mother-in-law, Australian artist Helen Marshall.
… at the Society of Technical Communicators meeting …the night’s topic was Stress Management for Stressed-Out Professionals…The speaker, Nancy Hopps, is a seasoned professional, having spent the last twenty years developing her techniques and guiding thousands of students, clients and workshop participants. Her presentation was simple, yet quite effective.
Thank-you very much for participating in our “Caring and Coping” conference… Your workshop, “I’m Too Busy to Relax!” was very well-received. The evaluations were very positive and complimentary. I look forward to working with you again.

Thanks for your beatific voice – so calming and reassuring. I’ll tell you, using this [Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques] tape (since 1989!) is probably one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself! Can you send me a catalogue of other titles?
I especially liked the format of [Track 2 – Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques] – the deep relaxation induction followed by a series of well-designed affirmations. It gives the listener time to ingest each one on a deep, subjective level.
My family and I attended your presentation at the U of O Bookstore. We all enjoyed it immensely and we bought your sleep CD. Our 15 year old son has had some trouble sleeping. Sunday nights seem to be the most problematic. The first night he used your CD he slept nine hours!! Many thanks.
I am using Nancy’s Pain CD with clients in my work at St. Charles Outpatient Behavioral Health, and their Home Health Agency. The relaxation CDs I use regularly also – they’re all great – very high quality, research-based material. Patients report that Nancy’s beautiful voice is calming and the information and processes on the CDs are very helpful.

I love that Nancy’s CoreYoga+ class is refreshingly real. I come away with a sense of peace and a sense of community that comes from having fun with others. It’s about balancing physical exertion, breath, laughter and relaxation. Nancy makes that all come together magically.
Hi Nancy – Just a little note to let you know how much I love your CD’s that I ordered. Thank you so much. You have such a soothing voice, that alone makes everything better.
Thanks Nancy. Your work is “exquisite”. I am currently experiencing shingles and a reactivation of some autoimmune problems. Your CDs help me immensely. [I have nine of them!] Also, my husband has Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and I will encourage him to listen also. Thanks for your work.
I was talking to a friend last week, and she started raving about your crystal bowls event, that she thought I’d enjoy. She told me that it took her to a wonderful, spiritual altered state. Three days later, when we talked, she was still enjoying the spiritual high. Even cancelled a counseling session, because she was feeling so gooood.
Nancy’s yoga+ classes are the best thing I’ve done for my forty-year-old body. The fact that I can count on two evenings a week of motivational deep breathing and muscle stretching and toning is key to ensuring I have a productive work week. Getting old is way easier having Nancy Hopps in my life. We are very fortunate to have her in the neighborhood!
Nancy Hopps fairly beams as she casts her inner glow over the Eugene Chamber Theatre’s “The Descent of Inanna,” a dark and complex modern telling of a 5,000 year old Sumarian myth. Hopps does it all – sings, dances, acts. But primarily she makes you believe in the joys, pains and magnitude of Inanna’s challenges. Her Inanna embodies all the elements of both a sprite and a stone. She is vague and ephemeral one moment, specific and sensual the next. It is her show, and she puts an enormous stamp o… Read more

It’s not often that we women let go of all commitments and planning and just play for the day. But that’s exactly what this group of about 16 women did. What fun we had! One woman comes in every time and listens to the first five minutes or so of your [Cancer: Embracing the Healing Journey] CD to relax and prepare herself, before she’ll even let me start her chemo preps. Another woman postponed her chemo treatment til the next day so she could listen to your whole [Chemotherapy] CD first!…
Nancy is doing some incredibly powerful work with tonal vibrations elicited from a series of beauteous bowls which carried me to depths I had only experienced previously through sweat lodge ceremonies, of times spent with the rock elders. This is not work for anyone with preconceptions formed from other healing practices.
Tools like this absolutely make a difference in helping patients get the most from treatment.

I find much of what’s available in the world of visualization unhelpful or unfitting with my own spiritual view… I am so grateful to have found your deeply wise offering “Chemotherapy: A… Read more
Proven de-stressors
I have tried every kind of drug and herbal remedy on the market for my chronic insomnia, in addition to hypnosis, acupuncture, and solo meditation. None of these tools were able to remedy the root of the problem–my inability to relax and let go. After a lifetime with no stress-reduction techniques, my body and mind had forgotten how to release tension, and the buildup was ruining the quality of my life, even though I exercised regularly. (I am probably going to get the Relax-Quick! disc as well,… Read more
’Raw Canvas’ was a perfect grand finale for the Florence Playhouse summer season….. [It] is a witty and sensitive one-woman play well-crafted by Diane Barratt-Walton expressly for the inimitable talents of Nancy Hopps, a consummate actor, singer and dancer.”

… Read more
My 9-year-old son, Chris, just loves your [Relaxation/Affirmation] tape! I was amazed at the difference it made. Thank-you!
When I got my diagnosis, I felt like I was in a free-fall without a safety net. To have this kind of wonderful, loving energy and support [on Relax Into Healing – Cancer: Embracing the Healing Journey] was literally life-saving. I was able to move from fear to love, and I really learned I AM not alone. THANK-you.
I checked several of your CDs out of the library, including your Surgery one. I sunk into it 150%! It helped SO much! Thank you for these great recordings!

I listened to some of the sample clips and downloaded the free 12 minute relaxation audio and I knew that this is definitely for me; it all felt so right. Thank you for sharing your giftedness, wisdom and experience. Thank … Read more
As a Massage Therapist [LMT], how do you use Nancy’s work? She’s been a resource for me, so anytime that I have a client that needs to really ground and center, I send them to her. Or, if I have clients who are undergoing chemotherapy or surgery, I always have them go get her CDs. How have Nancy’s CDs helped your clients? Well, one really cool thing about the Surgery one is that surgeons let their patients take the CDs into the operating room. And a friend of mine had knee surgery, and … Read more

Spread the word!
How did you come to use Nancy’s CDs? I first heard about her CDs from a doctor, after I had had surgery…Then, I went to a [Cancer] support group… It was a group that I wasn’t “clicking with.” It wasn’t a spiritual, mind-body healing … anything like that. And I so wanted that! And then [Nancy] came in… and I just knew she was there for me! What, specifically, from her CDs has been most valuable for you? I think that you can take any negative anything, and turn it around and make it posit… Read more

Your Chemotherapy CD has helped so much, offering me sanity in the face of overwhelm. Your guidance truly helps me cope with my feelings, helps me shift from fear into acceptance, from fragmentation into wholeness. This CD is my most essential supply when I go for treatment. I settle into the total safety and comfort of your voice, the gift of your wisdom, and open to the positive aspects of my chemotherapy. Nancy, Your CDs are absolutely life changing. Thank you!!! I have finished chemo and radiation…I can’t begin to tell you how helpful your [Cancer, Chemo, Radiation, Pain, Healing Affirmations] recordings were. I listened to them every day during treatment and for a while afterwards. I feel like I need a Nancy fix after not hearing them for awhile! We are getting ready to start up our [cancer treatment] program here. I’ll stay in touch. Blessings are with you!!!
Meeting Nancy Hopps for the first time was like seeing an old friend and soul sister. Her peaceful joy shines with her warm, welcoming smile. Never having heard Alchemical Crystal Healing Bowls before, I was curious about this new experience. Nancy’s resonance with their sounds and tone is evident, from her spoken introduction to the first sound of the bowls’ tones. She blends her vocal sound with them and sometimes I would open my eyes to see if she was toning or was it the bowls? Expe… Read more
One of the reasons our neighborhood is such a jewel, is the ongoing yoga+ classes Nancy offers at the Healing Sanctuary. What a luxury it is not having to get in a car! When Nancy works us hard, we find laughter a great way to persevere. Personally, the focus on abdominal/core work combined with gentle stretching has kept my mild scoliosis symptom-free. In her classes I have also come to know, respect and love my neighbors as we bear witness to one another’s ups and downs, challenges and celebra… Read more
THANKS FOR THE FAST-TRACK HEALING! Well my rehab continues to sail on at an accelerated pace. I work hard at the physical therapy exercises, walk as far as I can, eat good nourishing food and relax and meditate in between. Yes, “relaxing into healing” works. Lets your energy (qi) go to work healing, unhindered by petty fears and insignificant daily hassles. I do hope your message continues to expand for the benefit of many. Love and Cheers,
My 11-year old son has been restless at night and having trouble sleeping, maybe because of the adolescent melatonin imbalance thing. He asked if he could use my relaxation and sleep CDs (Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques and Relax Into Healing: Deep, Healing Sleep) …and he loves ’em! He’s been using them every night. He’s sleeping so much better and waking up feeling rested and happy. The good sleep is helping his concentration on school work, too. So thank you…your work is really making a diff… Read more
For 15 years I’ve been in chronic pain. I choose not to take medication – that’s why your work is so important to me. I’ve been able to put on your [Pain] CD when I wake up in pain, and it helps tremendously. You have a real gift, Nancy. With profound gratitude,
I decided to try EDGU as it was one of the few things offered at the YMCA at a time I could attend before going to work. That was well over a year ago and it is now one of the bright points in my week. Combining exercise and visualization I find it stimulating and relaxing at the same time. I particularly love that I can do it with eyes closed while Nancy’s supportive voice guides the way. I enjoy just following along to the visualization as Nancy speaks it in class and have not committed it to … Read more
Thank you so much, Nancy.
I have experienced all of the above and my body, mind and spirit have benefited in a way that I can … Read more

I thoroughly enjoyed your latest newsletter. You are bringing such profound awareness to our physical and spiritual needs especially in these terribly troubled world times. Keep up your wonderful work!
I heard your [Relaxation/Affirmation] tape from a friend. It is the only one I’ve heard that really helped me…Thank-you.
Thank-you so much for the [Relaxation/Affirmation] tape…When I started experiencing theanxiety in class again, it was so easy to call to mind your helpful tape and your calming influence. The world needs more healing influences like you!
I have used your relaxation/affirmation exercise [Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques] for many years! I’ve also introduced numerous clients to ‘you’ via this exercise with wonderful responses always shared!
I would like to order your Relaxation/Affirmation tape…I loaned mine to a friend who won’t give it back!
[in response to a newsletter] Dear Nancy, You are such a gift. I feel like I just sat down with a friend for a cup of coffee. You would have no reason to remember this, but I actually spoke with you once. I had a friend suffering from cancer and looking for any way of helping her, I stumbled upon your website. I called and you answered the phone and made me feel so much better. And your Cancer CD helped her tremendously. God Bless you for your work. You are the “Real Deal.” Much appreciatio… Read more
Thanks for your beatific voice – so calming and reassuring.
I sure wish I’d had your beautiful CD when I was going through my radiation treatments. It would have made it so much easier! This is very valuable work.
Dear Nancy, Once again, you have made my life so much better!!! I have been listening to your CD’s/tapes for many years, regularly, especially at night. Recently my husband had a motorcycle accident and broke both legs. Needless to say, I have been his main caregiver and it has been quite a task. We recently went camping and somehow I injured my eye and have a badly scratched cornea. SO, in addition to assisting my dear husband, I must take good care of myself. My first thought was YOU!!!! Ms. Hopps has produced one of the best relaxation tapes available for use with patients suffering from PTSD symptomatology [anger, anxiety, depression, insomnia]. Her rich voice, the timing of her suggestions, and the minimal use of music make Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques a classic among stress-management materials.
It is her show, and she puts an enormous stamp o… Read more
[The Taming of the Shrew] is blessed with a delightful cast, dominated by Richard Leebrick as Petruchio and Nancy Hopps as Kate. The two have worked together before, and their strengths are well-matched. Both are highly physical actors with excellent vocal skills and comic timing. We’re lucky to have them here in Eugene.
It’s not often that we women let go of all commitments and planning and just play for the day. But that’s exactly what this group of about 16 women did. What fun we had! Using a variety of tools, Nancy guided us through various exercises which stimulated different parts of our bodies and brains – meditation, drawing, movement, games… She was a superb facilitator. I have fond memories of that day, including delicious chili! We are lucky to have such a talented person in our community.… Read more

“End of the Rope” had me on the edge of my seat…Incredible…Certainly a must see.
I am responsible for setting up a comprehensive Cancer Treatment and Healing Center. Nancy’s products are a must for our patients.
I have a lot of patients who’re using your CDs during their chemo treatments.
As for the vocals that were present…some of the “rawness” that came out helped break down blocks and holds within me. Like claws strong enough to score stone. Those moments of … Read more
These are wonderful techniques… You’re giving information that’s been around and that’s been used by a lot of people, but you have a wonderful way of simplifying it, directing it, and taking the pretension out of it so it’s very accessible to the user. Yours are the best I’ve ever heard – and I’ve listened to a lot of them!
