I am using Nancy’s Pain CD with clients in my work at St. Charles Outpatient Behavioral Health, and their Home Health Agency. I have moderately severe spinal stenosis at L4 and 5 that causes intense muscle spasms. I have moderately severe spinal stenosis at L4 and 5 that causes intense muscle spasms. It’s not often that we women let go of all commitments and planning and just play for the day. But that’s exactly what this group of about 16 women did. What fun we had! Using a variety of tools, Nancy guided us through various exercises which stimulated different parts of our bodies and brains – meditation, drawing, movement, games… She was a superb facilitator. I decided to try EDGU as it was one of the few things offered at the YMCA at a time I could attend before going to work. That was well over a year ago and it is now one of the bright points in my week. Combining exercise and visualization I find it stimulating and relaxing at the same time.
