One year ago, after 30 years of marriage, I lost my husband to suicide after making the decision to divorce him. I was left with a lot of unresolved guilt and sadness, which had not progressed very far in the healing process, despite months of traditional “talk therapy”. My life had become something to be endured rather than enjoyed. I could not shake the guilt or sadness. I began to have neurological symptoms, and the neurologist said that I should seek emotional healing for the symptoms. (Symp…

I’ve found Nancy’s work to be a useful for physician, patient, and/or anybody else who wishes to let go of life’s stresses. I’m impressed with its content and presentation. It’s first rate!

I gave your Relax-Quick! CD as a gift to each of our professional facilitators at the recent Annual Company Meeting. We then used the CD for an extended relaxation exercise during the meeting. People enjoyed the first exercise so much, that we decided to do the entire Section 2! ‘Rainbow’ and ‘Back-Pack’ were our favorites. One man never made it past the middle of ‘Rainbow,’ and just snored softly through the rest of the exercises! Now that’s relaxation! Our business client lea…

You are absolutely amazing and so are your CDs! I’ve got a LOT of them –– and I haven’t used my other ones since I discovered yours. I’m in chronic pain myself, and these CD’s are amoung the best I have personally tried. I would like to promote them through the [pain support] group and make them more readily available here.

Guest director Peter Anthony created a revision of this Shakespearean masterpiece that allowed the author’s revision and passion to emerge through the original eloquent dialogue…one change that made this production so enjoyable for the audience was the continual stage presence of the three witches who open the play. Sheila San Nicholas, Nancy Hopps, and Gwyneth Moss Bregdon wowed the audience with dynamic weirdness and aerobic dances throughout the performance, often with mime, sometimes with mi…
It’s not often that we women let go of all commitments and planning and just play for the day. But that’s exactly what this group of about 16 women did. What fun we had! Using a variety of tools, Nancy guided us through various exercises which stimulated different parts of our bodies and brains – meditation, drawing, movement, games… She was a superb facilitator. I have fond memories of that day, including delicious chili! We are lucky to have such a talented person in our community.

Thanks so much for the CD on surgery and mending. It was wonderful. I was really apprehensive about the surgery to the point where I was focusing mostly on all the things that could go wrong. Your guided meditations and the lovely harp music really allowed me to redirect all those negative thoughts. Don’t get me wrong – I didn’t exactly leap onto the surgery table. But on the other hand, I did show up at the hospital on my assigned date with a calm mind and a relaxed body, both of which I’m sure…
I have been wanting to write to you ever since your fall Napa concert. I had a most amazing thing happen during your concert...I was suddenly aware of a total change in the air quality. It was as if the windows had been thrown open and this incredible, divinely fresh purified air was available for a short time!! …Thank you for the amazing concert! Keep up the healing work, spreading light and awareness.

I gave your [RELAXATION/AFFIRMATION CD]to my 70-yr.old mom about a year ago, and she loves it! I’ve never seen her take to anything- any other tapes or books – like she has to yours. She has high blood pressure, stress, and a host of other health problems, and she listens to your tape religiously every afternoon. She actually wore it out! So I’d like to send her one of each of your relaxation CD’s for an anniversary gift.

Let it go. Since stress is a huge trigger for cravings, learning to deal with it could potentially save you hundreds of calories a day. This will take some practice. You can try deep breathing or visualizing a serene scene on your own, or you can speed things up by buying one of the many CDs that teach progressive muscle relaxation. A good one is Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques, by Nancy Hopps
